• In the competition, from 5000+ submitted films across the world, Jury Panel had to select only 20 films, in which the film “MURGA (Rooster)” directed by Racha Rakesh has won in the category of experimental film.
• The film has screened in 8 languages- French, Italian, English, Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese, Espanol, Polskie…
• Racha Rakesh hails from Telangana and the film is based on ‘Girl Child Discrimination’.

Best Short Film for the year-2019.

‘Muurga’ is Shri. Rakesh fourth film. It was screened at Italy in 2018 for the first time. The theme of the film is based on superstitious beliefs for having a male child. Rakesh hails from Telangana and is into Animation and Film Making.

Shri. Rakesh's words for Asthitvam: 
“Asthitvam was identifying, recognizing and appreciating people to strengthen their roots in retaining culture, traditions and heritage. It reminded of our commitment towards Telugu. Though I received an International recognition, I felt my parents’ happiness when I took Asthitvam Award. This feel is beyond words to express.”
