From 8th to 30th April, 2020- Due to pandemic and curfew all the members of Asthitvam were distributing cooked food in the localities they reside. Pulihora / Curd rice / Sambhar rice / Biryani were cooked and served by each member for 30 to 50 persons daily. Photographs were avoided as people felt uncomfortable.
On 15th April, 2020- Asthitvam donated 200kgs of rice to Mr.MuraliKrishna CI, Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar Police Station as 150 Policemen and Policewomen worked 24/7. Food for them was cooked within the premises of the Police Station.
On 22nd April, 2020- 100 Medical Kit consisting of Multivitamins, B-complex tablets, Fast Relief, Sanitizer and Mask were prepared and distributed to Poor farmers and Women constable at the Rythu Bazaar, policemen at check-post and people on street.
On 28th April, 2020- 200kgs of rice was distributed to
1. Mr. Jaya Sai garu-who has been distributing lunch for patients at Government Mental Health Hospital, Erragadda since 8 yrs and
2. Mr. Krishna who was distributing 500 food packets daily with Government permission.
On 29th April, 2020- Fifty medical kits were handed over to Smt. Shanti garu-SHE Team. The same were distributed in slum areas.
On 1st May, 2020- Masks and groceries, 20 litres of Bathroom Cleaning liquid, 20 litres of Floor Cleaner and 10 litres of Hand Sanitiser were given at Ashreya Oldage Home.
On 4th May, 2020- Masks were distributed in a Slum at Mehdipatnam. Food was supplied by MOB- Making Ourselves Better-NGO.
On 5th June, 2020-Asthitvam contributed Rs. 10,000/- towards health issues of an Orphan Girl from Bala Vikas Home for Destitute Children, Kachivarisingaram. Due to the pandemic groceries to the same Orphanage consisting of 30 children were organised. Distribution of food as and when required was distributed.
On 25th August, 2020- Asthitvam announced a call for Poems on pandemic.
Kavisammelan was conducted in Zoom. Children and grown-ups participated. It was the first online event for us. People did cooperate well. 50 participants read their poems. All were given participation certificates and the results were announced on 29th August.
In September-Asthitvam-Warangal Team called for video of 3 minutes debating about the importance of Telugu-language on 5th September. The Committee received 100 videos. Few were proposed for Telugu Book of Records. Prizes were announced.
In November 2020- Asthitvam collaborated with Sri Krishna Priya Gauseva Samithi at Uppal. They aim to work for the welfare of the Cows.
On 3rd December, 2020- Asthtivam organized a Zoom Meeting on ONLINE TEACHING METHODS FOR CHILDREN WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABLITY on World Disability Day. Special Educators and mothers of children with Intellectual Disability participated. There shared their experience during the pandemic and suggested few tips to make things easy for Educators to reach such children through Online Classes.
On 4th May, 2021- Asthitvam organised a Condolences Meeting in the name of Late Shri. Thirunagari Ramanujam Garu-eminent poet belonging to the State of Telangana in ZOOM.
On 15th May, 2021-Asthitvam organised a Condolences Meeting for our member Late Smt. Feroza Mulla- belonging to the State of Telangana in ZOOM.
On 29th May, 2021- Asthitvam organized Condolences Meeting to our beloved member Late Shri. Neredukomma Srinivas- known as Jai Srinivas belonging to the State of Telangana in Zoom.
From June 2021 to 2022- Asthitvam started funding for the medicines of Kumari Sahithi who underwent a Heart surgery. Medicines and groceries for the family were supported by Asthitvam NGO. In July, Asthitvam arranged a donor for groceries to Ashreya Oldage Home, Mayuri Nagar, Miyapur. As there are 100 inmates on regular basis few donars were motivated to help the Home.On 21st July Mr. Praveen Kumar, advocate in our Legal Team received a call from Mr. X from Kolkata seeking help for his sister Ms. Y detained in State Home. Mr. Praveen along with PLV-Ms. Manjula approached the SI and then the State Home Incharge as Ms. Y being a major was forced to stay. The husband of the Ms. Y with his influence planned to harm her. She was rescued and sent by to her parents. From July 25th to 28th 2021 Asthitvam volunteered to sort out literary books to libraries of Late Shri. Niyogi. They were sent to different Libraries and Organizations in India.
